Prom. <3
Prom preparation.
Prom stuff.

I dirtied my fingernails one day for rehearsal, and then Fagin, Charley, and Link all got theirs done too. I love taking care of my boys. And Dodger’s face is priceless.

“Oh ladies, I forgot to introduce you to our new lodger. Mister Oliver Twist Esquire, Nancy and Bet!”

I won’t betray your trust though people say I must. My heart will stay true just as long as Bill needs me!
Long ago, yet not so far away,
There was a girl I knew who lost her way.
And she had a habit of makin’ stories up,
When trouble came ‘round lookin’ for a place to stay.
Her sad excuses couldn’t hide the bruises,
Abuse, her fickle friend, was no friend of mine.
And he had a habit of makin’ stories up,
That kept her comin’ back to him every time.
The world can be too much to take in sometimes. “Humankind cannot bare much reality.” It’s hard to appreciate the things you can see and the sounds you can hear when everything is clashing around you in a constant state of messy reality. It constricts around a person, weighing them down, limiting their possibilities. If reality is a box, then we are trapped inside of it, limited by the space. When they say think outside the box, I wonder if this is possible. I wonder if we really can break out of the box and experience the world outside of it.
One foot in front of the other,
Swaying,
Sashaying,
Twisted embraces.
I look across a crowded room,
Bodies tangled,
Thoughts abandoned,
Entities entwined.
And I remain alone.
